Be in My Chador is a video installation that explores the tension between imposed identity and personal agency within systems of control. Through dual projections, symbolic veils, and layered shadows, the work reflects on the internalization of societal expectations, particularly those surrounding gender, dress, and visibility in Iran. Juxtaposing figures of restraint and liberation, the piece invites viewers to confront how authority shapes not only how we are seen, but also how we see ourselves. This piece has been presented in four different venues, and each time, I made changes, and through these changes, the piece has been completed.
